What is the difference between BuddyX Free and Pro?
Free covers the community core - activity feed, profiles with cover photos, groups, friend connections, sidebar layouts, dark mode, and support for LearnDash, WooCommerce and Dokan. Pro adds the profile and group header layouts, directory layout options, header style presets, LMS sidebar layouts, deeper LearnDash and Dokan templates, and 15+ design tools.
Can I switch from Free to Pro later?
Yes. Install Pro on top of Free, paste the license key, and the Pro features turn on. No data loss and no re-import. Most BuddyX customers start free and upgrade after the first 30 days when they start charging members.
Do I need to be a developer to use these features?
No. Every feature in the tables is toggled from the WordPress customizer or a BuddyX settings panel. The 1-click demo installer wires the common combinations automatically. Developers can override templates from a child theme for deeper customization.
Are all integrations compatible with the latest plugin versions?
We track the major plugins (BuddyNext, BuddyPress, BuddyBoss Platform, LearnDash, LearnPress, Tutor LMS, WooCommerce, Dokan, SureCart, GamiPress) and ship compatibility updates within a week of any major release. Pro license holders get priority support if anything breaks.
Does BuddyX support multilingual sites?
Yes. WPML, Polylang, RTL languages and translation-ready strings are built in. Every BuddyX string is translatable; RTL stylesheets ship in the theme. Free and Pro both support multilingual out of the box.
